Limited edition of the first and only AMARO CAMPANO with Herbs from the Royal English Garden of the CASERTA ROYAL PALACE
Nobile Amaro Campano natural obtained from the infusion of only herbs and precious plants present in the "Royal English Garden" of the Royal Palace of Caserta, the precious eighteenth-century garden commissioned by Queen Maria Carolina. AmaRè is a tribute to the most ancient traditions and plants present in the Garden with their mythology, each dedicated to its own deity.
The recipe is the one created in 1858 by Don Domenico Petrone (founder of the Distillery of the same name) for the Royal House. Citrus fruits, symbols of love and fertility born for the wedding of Zeus and Hera, olive trees, gifts dear to Athena, fennel used by Prometheus to hide the sacred fire of Olympus, healing and exotic camphor from distant Asia.
The long and sumptuous Bourbon lunches were famous throughout the world: so the aromas and flavours of this end-of-meal elixir, much loved by Ferdinand II of Bourbon, are a synthesis of the histories and cultures of our land.
AWARDED THE LICENSE TO USE and commercially exploit the “Reggia di Caserta” brand with official deed Specification CIG:7016790648 of 2017.
Tasting Notes
Dark amber in color with golden reflections. Austere, vertical, severe but balanced on the nose thanks to the addition of cane sugar. Soft, smooth on the palate with wild and perceptibly citrusy hints and a slightly bitter finish.
