Amarè 5 cl Display
Display case with 20 bottles of Amarè 5 cl, noble natural Campanian amaro obtained from the infusion of only fine herbs and plants present in the "Real Giardino Inglese" of the Royal Palace of Caserta, the precious eighteenth-century garden commissioned by Queen Maria Carolina. AmaRè is a tribute to the oldest traditions and the plants present in the Garden with their mythology, each dedicated to its own deity.
The recipe is the one created in 1858 by Don Domenico Petrone (founder of the distillery of the same name) for the Royal House. The citrus fruits, symbols of love and fertility born for the wedding of Zeus and Hera, the olive trees, gifts dear to Athena, the fennels that Prometheus used to hide the sacred fire of Olympus, the healing and exotic camphor coming from distant Asia.
The long and sumptuous Bourbon lunches were famous throughout the world: thus the aromas and flavors of this after-dinner elixir, much loved by Ferdinand II of Bourbon, are a synthesis of stories and cultures of our land.
Winner of the license for use and commercial exploitation of the "Reggia di Caserta" brand.
Tasting notes
Dark amber color with golden reflections. On the nose, austere, vertical, severe but balanced thanks to the addition of cane sugar. On the palate, soft, smooth with wild and perceptibly citrus notes, and a slightly bitter finish.
