Guappa: the only liqueur with CAMPANIAN BUFFALO MILK
With 3-Year Aged Brandy From centuries of experience in creating inimitable liqueurs using the resources of "Campania Felix" comes "GUAPPA", a creamy liqueur with a distinctive personality, produced with buffalo milk collected in the area of origin of buffalo mozzarella PDO, which pays homage to the traditions of Antica Distilleria Petrone.
The company, always anchored to the customs of the past, combining its passion for spirits with an awareness of the excellent qualities of the Mazzoni territory, offers a high-profile, absolutely unique liqueur that is able to make the most of the unmistakable flavor of buffalo milk.
Allergens: Campanian buffalo milk, milk proteins.
The origin of the name The name "GUAPPA"
recalls the common practice of shepherds in the Campanian countryside to give a name to each buffalo they raised. According to ancient ritual, at dawn, the "bufalaro" would call the buffaloes by name, one by one, to lead them to milking, and the call of the buffalo herd sounded like a chant. In particular, tradition tells of a buffalo belonging to one of our master distillers, named "GUAPPA", echoing the Spanish term "Wapa" or "Guapa", meaning "beautiful", because she was envied by all for the large quantity of milk she could produce; milk that on cold winter mornings was expertly mixed by shepherds with grappa or raw spirits to warm themselves.
Tasting notes
Hazelnut color and dense appearance. On the nose, sweet aromas of cream, hazelnut, and caramel, and a pungent scent of buffalo milk. On the palate, enveloping and soft, creamy and velvety, with a perfect integration of the alcoholic note of 3-year aged brandy, expertly combined with milk.
Our recommendations
An excellent after-dinner dessert, perfect neat or with ice, it will accompany your after-dinner with taste and pleasure. Excellent for sweetening coffee or for garnishing ice cream and spoon desserts, it reveals a pleasant aftertaste, sweet and delicately alcoholic. Invigorating if served warm with cinnamon, cloves, and an orange peel. It pairs perfectly with brandy and milk cream for velvety cocktails; garnished with a dusting of dark chocolate and cinnamon.
